 Description of the job position (tasks and responsibilities)

Functions

This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile engineer to work as RF Engineer on the Galileo project, the European space flagship programme.

Galileo is Europe's Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), providing accurate positioning and timing information. It is funded and owned by the EU, developed by ESA and managed by EUSPA.

CETRA BASE is currently looking for 1 Junior RF Engineer to be part of the Galileo Service Exploitation team.

The position is based in Toulouse (France).

Tasks and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join an international team, made up of 150 people, in charge of the development and maintenance of large European Navigation systems such as Galileo and EGNOS.

As an engineer in the Galileo Service Exploitation team, you will contribute to the Maintenance of Galileo Mission System by analyzing operational and performance issues. In detail, you will:

  • Interface with the Operator to discuss technical and performance issues
  • Analyze and troubleshoot the observations raised by the Operator
  • Simulate operational scenarios
  • Offer technical solutions to anomalies
  • Produce technical documentation
  • Ensure the maintenance of operations
  • Be the technical point of contact for RF GNSS HW issues

 

Essential qualifications and experience

  • University degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Team worker
  • Ability to work in a multicultural team
  • Fluent English
  • Eligible for security clearance
  • Availability to travel within Europe

Desirable
Experience in System Engineering and RF


Security
In line with security requirements of the Galileo mission the candidate shall be a citizen of a European Union state.
This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
