 Job Duties and Tasks

Responsibilities

 

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary research and innovation team, contributing to the development and application of advanced technologies for the processing, analysis and interpretation of large volumes of scientific data, as well as to the integration of artificial intelligence-based tools into highly technologically complex research environments.

Duties

• To participate in the development, implementation and validation of scientific data analysis methodologies using advanced computing and artificial intelligence techniques.

 

• Participate in the deployment and validation of advanced experimental infrastructures designed for real-time data acquisition, monitoring and management, including the development of procedures for quality control, systems integration and the optimisation of processing workflows using advanced analysis tools and artificial intelligence.

 

• Develop software tools for the automation of data analysis, monitoring and quality control processes.

 

• Apply machine learning techniques and advanced statistical analysis to extract knowledge from complex datasets.

 

• Participate in the evaluation and optimisation of high-performance scientific workflows.

 

• Contribute to the development of innovative technological solutions with potential applications within the business ecosystem associated with language technologies and artificial intelligence.

 

• Produce technical documentation, scientific reports and publications arising from the activities carried out.

 

• Collaborate on technology transfer activities, the dissemination of results and interaction with organisations within the artificial intelligence ecosystem.

 Dedication regime and duration of the contract

In order to proceed with the formalisation of the contract once the selection process has been passed, the selected person must meet the requirements established in Article 15.5 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, of 23 October, which approves the revised text of the Workers' Statute Law (modified by Royal Decree-Law 32/2021, of 28 December).

This contract will be for a fixed term and is linked to the execution of a temporary programme financed by funds for the execution of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan or temporary programmes financed by European Union funds and is signed in accordance with the provisions of the fifth additional provision of Royal Decree-Law 32/2021, of 28 December, on urgent measures for labour reform, the guarantee of employment stability and the transformation of the labour market, will be for 8 months months Full-time fixed-term contract , and may be extended until the end of the programme or project and the existence of credit.

On schedule: Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm

 Retribution

28.413,06 € (gross salary including the proportional part of the extra payments during the contract.).

  • University studies (PhD in Physics)
  • University studies (PhD in Science, Technology and Computing)

Requirements

  • Have Spanish nationality or have the nationality of a member state of the European Union or be from any of the states in which, by virtue of international treaties established by the E.U. and ratified by Spain, the free movement of workers is applicable. Likewise, applicants with a nationality other than that mentioned above may submit their application, provided they can prove that they are in possession of a work and residence permit at the time the contract is formalized.
  • To be in possession of the qualification required in this call. Documents issued abroad that are to be used in this procedure must be legalized in accordance with the current regulations (Management circular number 134).
  • Persons who have had a fixed-term contract or production circumstances contract for the same research project or who have been contracted for other projects in the last twenty-four months for a period exceeding eighteen months, taking into account the time of the present job offer, in accordance with the provisions of article 15.5 Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, of 23 October, approving the revised text of the Workers' Statute Law, may not participate in the selection process.

    Contracts signed prior to 31 December 2021 under Law 14/2011, of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation, will not be taken into consideration for the purposes indicated in the previous paragraph (Additional Provision 23, section 1).

Experience

• Research experience in experimental physics or related fields.

 • Experience in the acquisition, processing and analysis of complex scientific data.

 • Experience in scientific programming using Python, C/C++, ROOT or equivalent tools.

 • Experience in Linux environments and scientific computing.

 • Experience in the development and operation of complex experimental or technological infrastructures.

 • Experience in advanced statistical analysis and the processing of large volumes of data.

 • Participation in international scientific collaborations.

Complementary Training

• Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

 • Experience in data analysis techniques applied to scientific research.

 • Knowledge of distributed computing and high-performance systems.

 • Experience in version control systems and collaborative software development.

 • Participation in competitive national and international projects.

Languages

•    English at B2 level or abov
